Spiritual Solutions to World Problems
There is too much unnecessary suffering in this world. Violence is often the headline news of the day.
Everywhere in the world we have people trying to solve the problems by reacting to them directly.
A spiritual solution is one that solves the problem from its root, not temporarily or partially, but permanently and wholly. For example: Moving the U.S. Army out of Iraq, or adding extra security at Virginia Tech or at other vulnerable institutions. The list goes on and on, from the past, the present, and to the future.
But it does not have to be this way any more. We should stand back and look at the problems from a much bigger perspective, like a space walking astronaut observing the Earth. Only then, can we realize that in order to solve our universal problems, we need to confront them universally as well.
The spiritual solution is the universal solution, which can only be achieved in unity and by unity.
